Feeding Methods
- "Rationed" — the daily ration is split and distributed across multiple meals or spread over the full day. This method is typically preferred for gestating sows and, above all, in the fattening phase.
- "Ad libitum" — feed is constantly available in the trough throughout the day. This method is preferred for pigs in early rearing stages (weaning, rearing).

Materials & Certifications
GONG liquid feeding systems are constructed from materials specifically selected to withstand continuous contact with feed slurries, cleaning-in-place chemicals and the corrosive conditions present in pig farm kitchens and distribution lines. Pipe runs, valves and trough components in direct contact with feed are manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel or food-grade polymers, ensuring compliance with EU hygiene regulations governing materials in contact with animal feedstuffs. The computerised control infrastructure — sensors, actuators, pumps and mixing vessels — is sourced from leading European suppliers including Big Dutchman, and is integrated and commissioned by GONG's own qualified engineers. All installation and commissioning work is carried out under the company's ISO 9001:2015 quality management framework, providing full documentation of system design, component specification, installation verification and operator training for every liquid feeding project completed by GONG S.p.A.
